NITRO
The North-Metro Interscholastic Trail Riding Organization (NITRO), an affiliate of the Georgia Cycling Association (GCA), is comprised of middle and high school mountain bikers from the northern suburbs of Atlanta including Roswell, Milton, Alpharetta, and Dunwoody.
Purpose
To develop student athletes of character and equip them for success on and off the trail.
We exist to promote mountain biking as an exciting and healthy outdoor activity for middle and high school students. Our organization aims to encourage physical activity, teamwork, personal growth, and a love of the outdoors while teaching the fundamentals of mountain biking skills and physical conditioning.
2024 GCA Schedule
Regular Season: July 1 – November 10
Regular Season Practices:
Mondays & Thursdays 6:00pm – 7:30 pm
Saturday Morning: Usually starting at 9am
Practice Locations:
Big Creek Park
All riders are expected to attend an average of two practices per week.
We know how important it can be, to both students and parents, for a student to get some hands-on experience with your team before completing the registration process. That’s why we offer a one-time participation waiver which enables an unregistered rider to participate on a bike with your team. This can be used for a pre-season ride or an in-season team practice, but it may only be used once a year. A waiver is not needed to attend an information meeting.
